Library Society's Visit to the Darul Ihsan Orphanage

Killing two birds with one stone, the library society explored their creative sides by staging a play and also shared their joy and laughter with the people of Darul Ihsan Orphanage on the 27th of March 2009.

The librarians got in touch with their imaginative side to write a play titled " Snow White and the 2 Gingerbread Ladies " based on various fictional fairy tales.
They also prepared door gifts and conducted interactive story-telling sessions to engage with the orphans.

Many obstacles came along our way, such as having to coordinate rehearsal times and switching locations at the last minute. However because of the persevering character of SRJC-ians, they managed to overcome these obstacles and made a success out of this event.

As Janet Ng puts it:

" Despite this, we managed to make full use of our CCA time to complete our rehearsals and persevered through even by means of moving from venue to venue in school to find a suitable place for rehearsals after CCA time. "
